“Threads of Our Lives” Exhibition
Participating in the gallery fellowship through Artworks Cincinnati allowed me to learn and collaborate with artist, Josie Love Roebuck. Her work delving into the depths of pain, healing, resilience, and self-love. Using painting, printmaking, and sewing patterns her process invites empathy and reflection, to symbolize human expirence.
Given this introspective theme for a group exhibtion, the relationship between individualism and groundedness became part of my life story. Expressing my personal light while being connected to the context that shapes new realities. Expressing my own sense of inspirations and impressions while being centered on what built me up.
By practicing solidarity and vulnerability, both in my work and daily life, I stay true to my values, beliefs, and intuition, guided by curiosity, joy, and a sense of harmony.
During the Threads of Our Lives residency, I used various media to personify the permanence and impermanence of emotional and physical realities. Through the use of cyanotypes, screenprints, embroidery, pastels, and acrylic paints, I symbolically reflected narratives of decision-making and inner dispositions.

Living alone in a new city has been transformative, turning my move into an experience of discovery instead of mere adaptation. Through various mediums, I explore lasting and fleeting feelings, commitments, and moments. Each project expresses my thoughts as I observe and contemplate my changing surroundings. I invite viewers into settings that feel personally meaningful yet expansive.
